In 2025, the Sustainable Finance Compass was implemented with FINCA Malawi to assess the integration of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles across its operations. The assessment identified key areas for improvement and supported the development of a two- year ESG implementation plan to guide FINCA in strengthening its sustainable finance practices.

The Sustainable Finance Compass was first implemented with FIFAD in 2025 to assess its existing ESG practices and identify opportunities for stronger integration. In 2026, the collaboration continued with the presentation of the assessment results and a two- year ESG transition plan, providing practical actions and milestones to strengthen sustainability, regulatory readiness, and sustainable agricultural finance.
